  • Just got new running shoes so I can w/ my son. This looks like a good plan. I like the time vs. distance option because it's easier measure, just running anywhere vs. having an actual 1/4 mile track.
  • Yes, it's a really good way to get started. If you like to run to music, and have the music set the pace for you, then you should check out the Podrunner Intervals website (http://www.djsteveboy.com/intervals.html). It's primarily electronica or house music, and the tempo varies depending on whether you should run or walk. Over the course of 10 weeks, the running sections get longer and the walking sections get shorter.
